I don't want to do the Twitter thing, but some of my Astro Buddies may be interested to know that my son Chris married his Brazilian beauty (Adriana) at a civil ceremony at Kooindah Waters Golf resort on the Central Coast of NSW on Saturday 31st January.
First shot shows the happy mother of the groom with the groom and groomsmen. (Younger son Stephen acting as Best Man)
Second shot shows the lovely flower girl (friend of brides family)
Third shot shows the Happy Couple.
Fourth shot includes my daughter, Bronwyn (acclaimed Melbourne poet) reading a poem she had written previously, that had special meaning for the soon-to-be newly weds.
Unfortunately, the brides mother is seriously ill in Brazil and could not attend, but they live streamed much of the ceremony and celebrations to her.
The reception was more of an "After-Party" than a formal reception, which I understand is more the practice in Brazil. Plenty of flashing rings, funny outfits and plenty of dancing. All who attended commented how much fun it was.
Finally a word about Kooindah Waters, they were great, accommodating, and the food was outstanding. If you are planning an event for 60 or more, give them a thought.
Thanks for reading,
