I have an LX90 which is in alt/as mode . I now want to set it up in equatorial mode ( I have a wedge), but I am unsure if one leg of the tripod should be facing to the SCP, (I am in NZ), or should two legs be forward. Or does it not matter !

I put the single leg forward so the weight wouldn't tip it over

Once scope is put on wedge, then move the tube to be pointing straight out from the fork arms and aim this towards the SCP. You will find that the single tripod leg is also pointing this way.

The bolt holes on the tripod should dictate which way to mount the wedge.

There should also be a thread in the tripod to bolt the locator for the wedge adjusting pin.

Let me know if you need more info.

Good luck!

Damien.

True enough, the wedge dictates the leg direction.
