Hi all,

During our latest trip out to Wiruna I decided to image the Carina Nebula region. Last time I tried it was from Sydney so this was my first time imaging it under dark skies. As you can guess, it was a lot easier to process this one!

28 x 3 minute subs, shot with my usual set up and settings. Thankfully we had pretty cool nights which helped keep the noise relatively at bay.

Higher res can be seen on my flickr page here. (https://www.flickr.com/photos/jasonwehbe/15730566054/sizes/h/)

As always, feedback is appreciated and thanks for looking.

Cheers,

Jase

A very nice looking widefield Jason.

I like the colours and so much detail.

You are building up a great collection of photos.

Where do you image from at Wiruna?

Ross.

Thanks Ross, yeah getting there, I had a few over the past months which didn't make the cut due to drift errors I didn't know about at the time of imaging, so I could have added more to my collection. Talking about 5 hours worth of imaging on the Rosette and Cone nebula gone. All good.

I have been imaging in that small section behind the tall hedge that separates the main observing field. Where do you do your imaging?

haha yes all the above mate!

Cheers Mike, yeah having such a wide lens allows you to frame things a little differently to the norm. Although I am reallly beginning to want something with a little more focal length now.

Thanks Marc, glad you like it.
