450D Power Supply

Now surplus to requirements and never used. I thought I had bought a 450D from another IISer but that didn't happen. In the meantime I'd ordered this power supply on eBay.

$15 plus postage. Estimated postage in Oz about $8. Or you can order one on eBay and wait a month (or more sometimes).

Is that like a battery that you plug into the mains which supplies power ona a continuous basis or a battery charger?
If the former, consider it sold.
