Thanks for the nice feedback guys.
I seem to burn the stars very quickly during stretching. They're pinpoint and bright to start with (damn FSQ) and get saturated very quickly when I DDP the shots to bring out the faint nebs.
I guess if I integrate more subs and stretch less or do a star mask? Or blur them back in the final?

A pleasing photo Marc, and remarkable given the faintness of the object and the short time you had available. Like the other Mike, I like that you've included the golden cluster on the right. Your shot shows how the dust continues up through the Christmas Tree and way, way beyond.

Hi Marc,
You're never happy.....complaining the new FSQ is too sharp?;)
I have a "softer", less contrasty telescope if you want to swap!
It's a very good looking photo.
Very sharp and I love the wide fov. You can see so many objects and features.
Ross.

 No Ross, I'm over the moon with that scope. No collimation, just plug and play and my puny 27mm diagonal CCD is probably using 15% of the whole corrected imaging circle. :) It's just that I need to revisit my processing habits. Always had dodgy, blurred, funky shaped stars in the past so I always got away with stretching without worrying about white clipping much. Now I can't do it anymore. I can't even run deconvolution anymore without masking the stars methink. So just a few adjustments needed there and there.
PS: No way. You're not getting it. :fight:
Maybe I'll let you look at it. Once :P
Thanks mate.

Thanks mate. Yeah, I'm having a ball. Need to get back into the processing though.
Thanks Steve. This scope seems to pick up a lot of more colors than my other gear. Not sure why.
