Finally put together some of the data I have gathered on this comet in the last several days. It is quite hard to get an image with detail and low noise levels given the shortness of the data set.

That said, this is quite an interesting comet to image and view the tail and it changes every day.

I decided that I liked Greg's orientation of the comet too.

nice one paul, that tail is long! you have managed to squeeze it in! (mostly)
is this with a cooled dslr/OSC?

Cheers

Very nicely done Paul. That looks very good. It really is pumping out some gas and dust.

Nice image Paul. Like the 'crisp' tail detail.

Cheers Steve

Cracking result Paul, tail fan shape is stunning. This comet seems to vary in each post so making it quite fascinating to watch.

John.

Thanks all for the comments.

This is a CCD but mono. I have used the lum to provide tail detail and the colour frames were short and only 4 each.

Yes it seems to change hourly but is most noticeable each day. The day before this I caught the disconnection. I am yet to process that lot of data, but I put up a lum frame of it.
