Hi to all

This is my first image of 2015, a bi-colour of NGC 3324 with red assigned to Ha and green and blue both assigned to OIII. It seemed to come out pretty well but I'm going to add some RGB to it in the next few days (weather permitting) to see what that does.

Cheers

Steve

Yeah nice one Steve...may not even need the RGB stars, looks good like this, worth a bash though I guess? :)

Thanks Mike. The RGB isn't going to take very long so I'll probably still have a go but I'm pretty happy with this as it is I must admit.

Thanks Greg

Nice definition on the "face", Steve. I thought the blue halos on some of the stars were a little distracting. Probably a result of the OIII being stretched more to match the Ha?

Cheers,
Rick.

Excellent work, Steve. Nice treatment of the dust lanes. I don't think I'd ever noticed the "blue electric sparks" coming from the brightest star under the chin. Went back and had a look at my old shot. The sparks are there.

Best,
Mike

Thanks Rick. Yes, you are quite correct. I may need to get some more OIII.

Top work Steve. RGB stars a possible improvement, deleting them even better ;).

Nice image Steve. I like the sense of 3d that has been pulled out, the hydrogen billowing away from the stars with the outline of Gabrielle's face as the upper perimeter. Hadn't noticed it before. Noice.

Thanks David. I did a Hubble palette of it a while back with the other scope. That seemed to bring out the 3D better.

Thanks Louie

Thanks Fred. I might try a starless version.

Great looking photo Steve.

Sharp and detailed.

I like the closeup composition.

Ross.
