Eta Carina

15th Jan 2015. Last night the rain stopped and I managed to get a couple of pics with my Canon 550d camera and 300 mm telephoto lens of the Eta Carina nebula region. Exposure was 5 sec at 6400 iso. No tracking and single exposure.
Two versions are shown here - one is redder than the other (not sure if I overdid the processing). Which is more natural or is it up to personal preference? Comments invited. Thanks for viewing.

Isn't it great when weather allows to explore wonders of the night sky? :)

As for the images, DSOs are relatively faint and when imaged without tracking, photons (information) from the target, instead of hitting the same pixels, are spread over several pixels lowering DSO's overall brightness (and contrast) in the photo and thus making it difficult to capture detail. Perhaps iOptron's SkyTracker or Skywatcher's Sky Adventurer could provide decent tracking at low magnifications and at a reasonable price?
