Last week I took a group of friends to the glow worm tunnel at Newnes in the Blue Mountains.
Not my best work, I know, but Im pretty pleased considering that I didnt take a tripod with me and that I acheived these shorts with single exposures, no stacking and no dark frames and no HDR :)
I'll revisit this shot type again and spend more time at it.

As usual, Canon 6D, Samyang 14mm and would have been ISO 3200 and f2.8 at 30 seconds.

That's not bad at all - and you may find more details in those pics with extra processing on the mid levels.

We went to Natural Bridge at Springbrook National Park last weekend and got some glow worms too:

Like you, I'm going to do a revisit and try some more too.

(Also got some bioluminescent fungi there: https://plus.google.com/117947786043442287168/posts/UrJi8NKmtsm)

Thanks Chris.
I love your shots, they are great!
I think that I will try to get some shots of the bioluminescent fungi, Ive been wanting to do that for a while but not known where to find any :-)

Newnes glow worm tunnel was the same, it was PACKED with people.
One plus is that it is a very long trek out a very average dirt road, 40 minutes, and then a 10-15 minute hike to the tunnel.
Unfortunately, that doesnt deter enough people, as we were the last 2 cars to fit into the car park.

Doh I just realised that I read the location of your shots wrong and that you are in QLD.
That rules out me popping in for a look at getting some shots as Im in NSW ;-)

I've only been in the daytime, but it is open all the time.
The glow worm tunnel forms part of the Blue Mountains National Park, and as such there are gates and normal National Park restrictions, but, there are no access restrictions unless it is bushfires or unsafe.
As such, it is definitely open at night/weekends.

cheers

There's a glow worm tunnel down my way. Might have to go have a look one night.
