Hi Guys
Again a bit rare and dim. Ive not processed too much this time so some noise left.
Also in the pic is young NGC602 star cluster and the top right Nebula N89 crept in due to bad composition.
Nebula N90, in the SMC, click here for big (http://fredsastro.smugmug.com/Photography/Astrophotography-1/i-VDpbRNw/A)
Ha,Ha,synthetic Green,OIII mapped as LRGB. Ha 27hrs, OIII 14hrs hrs Ha 40min subs bin1, OIII 40min subs bin2.
Taken on an RCOS 10" RC Scope at f9, SBIG STXL6303E Camera and PME mount at itelescopes Siding Spring Observatory.
Processed with CCDstack, Star Tools and Photoshop.

Quite pretty and intriguing Fred, nice mauve colour scheme too, well done...lots of exposure there too :)
Since most nebula images remind me of something :P...this one reminds my of a plasma ball :)
Mike
Oh and there is also a cat sitting on the back of a soaring dragon too...

That's another rare and interesting one, Fred. It must be very dim. I like the colours. I reckon it looks like a flying eye :)

Nah, it's a space mermaid - pretty one too! Amazing as always Fred :)

Looks like one of those crabs that have one claw much longer than the other. They wave it around to pull in the chicks. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiddler_crab (Mine is bigger than yours).
Very nice image Fred. Pity you didn't go for megadata--the result would have been even more optimum.

I wouldn't worry about the framing Fred, the depth of the bright core really draws the eye. Nice colour and a fascinating object, well done.

Thanks Guys, thanks for the comments. I think I should leave a suitable description to Mike (Placidus). Not my best, but it was tough.
Michael. That thumbnail looks like it was generated by Chaotica (that might be wrong), an amazing app I downloaded recently. I realised later it generates images from scratch, not manipulate existing images unfortunately, or I would have banged up every thing I had taken!.
Geoff. I think you just redefined megadata, ill try harder next time :P for a more optimum, optimum result. Oh, and yes, in another thread, you mention how bleeding obvious more data was more optimum. On reflection, of course it is, I didnt counter that well at all really, your right until I think of a better way to express myself, or give up .
Interestingly, Don Goldmans rendition of N90 is pretty noisy, but it looks sort of appropriate and no sharpness is lost (which I did with smoothing).

Mate that is lot of data on a very faint object. There is quite a lot of 3D feel to the inner part of the nebula. Not sure about the colour myself but I like the detail level.

Fred, that's splendid!
You've got the supernova remnant toward 4 o'clock clear as day.
Best,
Mike

That's a pretty good return on the time spent Fred. Some good detail and an attractive presentation. Very nice.
