The focus point is too shiny, though it's out of focus brethren may well have been winners, it's a reject.

I'll keep trying for that one rusty gem (of I photo at least) :)

Yes Bob, I went back yesterday, and to the scrap metal dealers to secure a few more too.
In fact I got 2 nice ones of the one below which I include here for you viewing pleasure.
(It's ok if u groan because I can't hear you) :-)

The trouble is that I now have to many to choose from.

A question too, if you don't mind: I am resizing down to 1200x800 and I am wondering if that is too big. With photos like this, scrolling around looses the impact you want, whereas in a nice astro shot it is good to be able to scroll around and look at the detail.
Ur opinion would be welcome.

Trev

ps - really like your entry photo.

Good show Trevor, Im like the 2nd most, even tho the large steel sleeper holders are kind of 'steeling' <- Pun) the show a little ;)

If you see the attached which is a 'Screen Snip' of the photo viewing window- in the upper right corner is a 'switch' (youll need your mouse pointer in the window to activate/show this tool bar) which toggles between (photo at Full Size) & (Photo to Fit window) -> Click on it to minimise the photo to the window if too big !
Might be helpful to know
The toggle switch will either be a dot, or a dot with four arrows around it, which mean - expanded.
Rgrds ..

I don't know what they call these. they are used to tie the railroad line to the cross-ties, or sleepers..
the sun was strong that day and cast a deep shadow that lifted it out on it's own.

I agree Bob, it is cool and was one of my favourites from that particular day out.
However it doesn't strictly fit the theme of "Rusty Nails, Screws, Bolts and/or Nuts", so i have to go with one that does and it was a hard choice given the Old train yard, and the Scrap metal Yard photos.

Good stuff Trevor, guess the line has been drawn .
Being a little more specific with 'Subject' seems to have dropped the number of entrants thus far ? ?

Yeah, maybe Bob, but I am hoping they are all holding back until the last days. It's happened before.
It's not a hard theme, in fact I had so many to choose from I ran a vote on my FB page and let my friends choose :-)

Thanks Bob.
It was a nasty kidney stone, still haven't passed it yet.
They operated and put in a stent for now until infection goes away so they can blast it loose.

Doctors found it a bit awkward operating on me with my helmet on though.

Sheesh. This comp is a hard one to crack and it looks like I'll have to lift my game considerably.
