Hi All,

Imaged Jupiter this morning, at times the seeing was quite soft but have some interesting detail. Have good coverage of the region following the GRS, which is just over the P limb. Have a line of 3 white ovals in the SSTB. The turbulent wake of the GRS seems to be reducing in its general extent back along the SEB. It is seen to swing up into a thinner line of turbulence along the Southern edge of the SEB, the region of the SEB below this knotted line of turbulence is quite smooth and well seen in the attached IR animation. The Northern edge of the NEB appears quite jagged and there is a prominent red barge type feature in the NTB.

Nice going Trev,

I was up this morning to have a go and gee what a tough object this is for us in Australia. I think our best chance is deep IR, otherwise we will have to wait a year or two until it gets higher.

Hi John, we dont have much longer to wait, Mars, Jupiter & Saturn all continue to move South, soon Oz will be the prime location for imaging all of these planets.

Yes Derek, that was on a month or so ago and again today.
