Enjoying a couple of days and late nights at home after Christmas.. a rare treat for me in more ways than one!

Tried this comet with a 300mm lens on Boxing Day but this is the better focal length/field of view combination.

Wow Phil, that's a stunning image. I was hoping to have a go at this with my 300mm lens when the weather improves, what sort of issues did you have at 300mm?

Damn, that's a top image.
Brilliantly presented , love the crisp look of the starfield as well as the comet's tail

I haven't actually processed the 300mm images yet. They look fine, just that the image scale is more impressive at 530mm and the f3.3 focal ratio helped a bit too. Mind you, I reckon the tail was brighter and more structured for this image too. Tail is now big enough to easily fill a 300mm frame if you can push it hard.

Thanks Alan, John, Solitarian, Peter!
