Hi everyone,

I have not posted an image for quite some time, it's been really hard to get out there with the weather and all.
So this is the first actual attempt at a decent image with my Atik 314L+ mono, and also a recently acquired Orion EON72 refractor.

There is a lot of noise in this one I know, and the colour could be much better as i didn't bin the RGB filter subs so i'm pretty short of data, but, I just wanted to post something anyway :) I will improve it soon, as i heard a rumour that santas workshop has a 7nm Ha filter packed and ready for delivery to my place tonight :)

Merry Christmas to all, and have a safe and happy holiday period.

7x 6 minute lights, 7 x R,G,B 3 minutes bin unbinned. Atik314L+ mono, Orion EON 72 refractor on a NEQ6 pro, Guided with an QHY5l-II mono and 50mm mini guidescope.

Thanks John.
One came up in the classifieds on here a few months back, so i snapped it up.

You can always improve on noise.

Thats a well framed shot Goran and much better now version 2 with reduced noise.

Thanks marios. The noise is reduced, but i purposely hold back on noise reduction as to me, it starts to lose sharpness, and gets blurry.

Thanks Micheal, that's why i lookef for a shorter frac, hard to get it all on the small chip.

Pretty fantastic stuff Ambassador Kosh. I look forward to the days of decent length subs. Have a great NY!

Thanks cam, I will probably make 10mins my next standard exposure length.
I'm yet to try longer but I'm interested to see how much improvement can be had with 20 or so minutes.
