Just 10 shots of 2 mins @ 3200 and 12 shots of 4 min at 1600, with the Sony and the Tak. Loving the widefield aspect of this combo now, though I feel the seeing was not that good on the night.

What a great image Simon. Love all the dust you have captured there. Also really like the sharpness in the stars and the diffraction spikes. Real nice work there mate.

Sensational. You got a great amount of detail and dust for very little exposure time. That Sony A7s is a gem.

Simon - enjoying seeing your photos with the Sony.
Are you capturing darks with your images? and flats?

Thanks everyone, it's satisfying to get the best out of the scope, I knew it had potential.
John, no I'm not using darks, forgot to take them at the same temp and the two stages of NR I'm using seems to work OK. Yes I'm using flats.

Hello again Simon,
Just repeating my praise for your effort from the weekend. These exposure times are providing great results, especially that in star colour, which is normally sacrificed in many DSLR images. Back ground sensitivity is remarkable.
See you soon,
Steve
