Horrendous noise; my D.I.Y. cooler isn't in action yet.
55 x 35 secs. ISO 1600. Still got problems with tracking,
hence short subs.

When solved the problems it will be a beautiful wide field image.

Nice one Ray.
My 8" F4 Newt is so fast I've found I rarely go over 30 seconds anyway, unless I put a filter in line.

Thank you Jorges and Kevin. M78 intrigues me; I've got to have another go if and when my cooler box is up and running.

Wow, very better, Raymo. It needs only a best guiding to becomes a very nice wide field of this wonderul region of Orion nebula.
I think I can suggest a little bit less white itensity of stars and nucleos of nebula. Perhaps with curves, reducing the top RGB levels a bit.
Congratulations !

Thanks Jorge, I have the latest PS and the book "Astronomy PS", but I
have yet to find the time to read and learn anything about processing.
I only use DSS, and PS for downsizing. It normally wouldn't need any
guiding for these short subs, but I am having strange problems with tracking.

What did you use to reduce the noise in the second image Ray?
BTW I took about 10 minutes of subs tonight of M78, but too tired to process them now.

I hope they turn out well Kevin.
Judicious use of Neatimage.
