Hey all,
Just trying to decide what degree to do next year. Electrical Engineering has been my choice for awhile but after hearing about the new course offering of Mechatronic Engineering I have been considering it.

What are peoples thoughts that have knowledge in these fields. What would you suggest?

Beyond the electronics, electrical covers things like power transmission systems, radio and communications, high voltage engineering, antenna theory and much more that is outside the scope of mechatronics.

Conversely it doesn't include the mechanical engineering aspects that are in a mechatronics course.

Which is right for you depends on what your interests are and what you think you'll be doing in 10 years time.
