12x3 minutes of data, shot through the 127mm triplet using my Canon CDS1100D @ ISO 1600.
Stacked in Deep Sky Stacker and processed in CS3.
The first pic is stacked on Stars only, the second was stacked on stars and comet then inverted to show the detail in the tail better.
thanks for looking.

It's almost smack dab between Canopus and Sirius.
Under dark skies you can just make it out naked eye, but binos will pick it up very easily.
Thanks for looking everyone. :)

Yeah this is very cool JJJ, just showed my wife and said how good is this, maybe I should have a shot at it? haven't imaged a comet telescopically since 2004 - and then she said "Oooh, that's nice dear" ...I think my FOV is a bit small though

What camera lenses do you have Mike?
It fills 1/3 of the field of a 135mm lens.
Wow how cool is that jj !
Beautiful shot.
These Lovejoy comets are always good value.
Merry Christmas.

Hmmm? yes, that's the problem ...I do have a Pentax 200mm F2.5 I haven't brought out since 2006 (http://www.pbase.com/strongmanmike2002/pentax_200mm_lens_images)...maybe I resurrect it  The FOV of the AG12 with the small H694 chip will likely only fit the coma and a short bit of the inner tail, if I put the big ProLine back back on, with its 1.8deg X 1.8deg FOV it would likely make a great shot...but I'm lazy, too much work for one field  ....so maybe I just sit back and enjoy what those like you are dishing up JJJ  great stuff
Mike
