At last, after many many clouded nights we had some clear skies recently, and I managed to put to test Astrodon 3nm Ha filter. I live very close to Brisbane's CBD so I was curious whether this filter will offer any improvement over 12nm one I have been using before.
Integration:
3nm Ha: 28 subs 120 sec each
12nm OIII: 12 subs 120 sec each
12nm SII: 12 subs 120 sec each.

Few details still require attention, but otherwise I am quite happy with the final result.

Lovely image Slavomir and such tiny stars! When I took my first glance at the thumbnail I thought you had gone starless. What was your colour mapping? Did the 3nm filter perform better than the 12nm one?

Hi Geoff,
Yes, I noticed a significant improvement when using 3nm filter over the 12nm one. In my area you can only see brightest stars, so that's why I went for a 3nm filter. Stars are also much smaller with this filter too.
I blended data and used H-α data as a Luminance channel to create a LRGB image from narrowband data. Would love to be able to use RGB filters, but for that I need to move away from the city...
Thank you for your kind feedback :-)

Fabulous image. Its very sharp. The colour is pleasing although I do prefer the usual palette. The Astrodon site tutorial on how to blend the channels is the best in my opinion.

Thank you Allan and Greg.
I will also certainly check Astrodon's tutorial.

Very nice, Slawomir. Perhaps you could wind back the noise reduction slightly? Seems just a little too smooth in places.
Cheers,
Rick.

Agreed. Uploaded a new revision with only very minor noise reduction (Version C).

Thank you Rick for your suggestion.
