Hi all,
Just listing my FSQ-106N for sale. I'm currently uninstalling the scope from its installation, and once uninstalled, I'll upload photos.
This unit has been in a fully automated configuration for a few years now, BUT now is sitting in my cupboard. I purchased the unit from the original buyer I think about three years ago, but apart from commissioning it with focuser motor and rotator (has the 4" CAA), no other changes, and it has worked flawlessly. It's an easy scope to use, however, it is not the right FOV for my liking.
The telescope will come with a Robo Focus geared stepper motor that is bracketed into position, and a Lunatico Smart Framer 4" rotator (http://tienda.lunatico.es/epages/Store.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/Store.Lunatico/Products/CENSF01). Because of few PM's asking to include the Seletek controller, it is also included in the price now [Click here to see the Armadillo (http://tienda.lunatico.es/Seletek-Armadillo-controller)]. The Armadillo is awesome to control with, it is ASCOM compliant, and you get a external temperature sensor for temperature compensation.
The geared Robo Focus motor has plenty of lifting capability, lifting my STL-11002 with 8 position filter wheel accurately via the beautiful rack and pinion focuser. V Curves were excellent with this scope and focuser arrangement, with accurate and very fast focusing times. This does have the 10:1 hand knob, but is not useable when Robo Focus motor is attached.
The Smart Framer rotator has a nice interface (http://tienda.lunatico.es/WebRoot/Store/Shops/Store_002E_Lunatico/4B71/CD3E/66B0/72A4/978D/5DBD/2179/0444/img_rotator.gif) [this is from the Armadillo controller, which is not included as mentioned above] for you to plug in your desired camera rotation. A configuration page allows you to input you steps per degree, and then you are on your way. So all you have to do is get the correct rotation of your camera angle from your favourite planetarium program, input the degrees of rotation, and then your ready to image.
The Armadillo has many additional control functions (http://lunatico.es/site/ourproducts/seletek-armadillo-platypus/how-can-i/), making simple the automation of the focuser and the rotator [plus more, like fan control].
The OTA has Parallax rings, obviously very strong, and ready for you to mount upon your favourite dovetail type.
The OTA will come with a 2" nose piece connector.
Optics are good, the OTA always been kept in a clean and dry place, and I've never cleaned these apart from blowing off Heathcote dust. The outside of the OTA has some marks, as I only used it for mobile imagining [and yes, fully automated]. For the photo shoot I cleaned the optic [safely], and it is very nice. At first I had dots everywhere plus a double set of rings in one corner! The dots were the damned Xmas tree lights in the background, and the rings were the reflections of the Parallax Rings!
I could only see one small dot of a mark in the finish on the hand focuser side, next to the velcro strip. The second an impression perhaps from the front Parallax ring, but that one is hard to see. Otherwise, its very clean.
Price I will be looking for is $3,500. I can pack it safely for delivery around OZ, freight at buyers expense. The Seletek Armadillo 2 controller is now also included.
Thank you for looking.
Steve
