That's great Jennifer,
Keep an eye out on M79 on the 28th and 29th of December as it will have a close encounter with comet C/2014 Q2 Lovejoy.

My plan is to try to image them on those nights if the weather permits it.

Sadly I'll be away from my gear over Christmas so I won't get to do a conjunction.
Unless I take it with me of course!!!!
