NEQ6 with 3 5kg white counterweights. V 3.36. A nice mount I just don't use.
The only thing missing is the extensionfor the counterweight bar....I need that for the Gaunt EQ mount.
In great condition....price a meagre $950 pickup. Shipping at cost. Have the orgional boxes for shipping.
PM's please.

Would a 12" BT-302-b reflector be suitable on this?

Too heavy I rekon Doug. A Losmandy g11 might do? I had a 10" f4.8 Newt on it mostly.

I had a 12 inch F5 on an NEQ6 for a while. Fine until the breeze got up. Much steadier after I used a wider Losmandy style dovetail instead of a Vixen style one. The biggest problem was the height and position of the eyepiece on occasion. I would not do it again without rotating tube rings. But you may be younger and more flexible than me!

Are you imaging or pure visual. I believe the 12" f5 would be ok for visual but I would not go bigger than a 10" if imaging. The General rule is to hold the imaging payload to 2/3s of the rated mount visual capacity - including the camera, guide stuff. I run a 10" f/5 ultra light imaging newt on my NEQ6 and its rock solid.
A 10" production newt, like a GSO/Bintel will weigh 15kg for the OTA once you add a camera, guidescope etc its going to be very close to the Skywatcher recommended 18kg limit for imaging. The 12" would be over the mounts recommended limit for imaging - however the visual limit is 25kg and the 12" would fit under that - but keep the tripod legs as short as possible to keep it steady.

I stand corrected…still I wouldn't put a 12" on an NEQ6.
