Anyone interested in the Moon missions should read this fabulous book.
Written by Mr Hamish Lindsay formerly of Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station, with the manuscript having been first reviewed by Christopher Kraft of NASA. Of the myriad books on Gemini/Apollo programs I have read, this has impressed me most.

(Only 7000 copies were printed so you may have to source it via Amazon, both of my copies came from Wisepenny books)

Hi Mark, I was very pleased to spend a couple of hours with the author on Tuesday discussing Gemini and Apollo mission tracking and perusing his memorabilia and listening to his recollections of conversations with Armstrong, Aldrin, Young and other key NASA personnel.

I have an old ARRL antenna book that has photos of a 12 foot mesh dish, built by Ham radio operators that was used to track and listen to the Apollo communications. It inspired me to build several dishes of my own for TV satellites.
