Hi Aussies,
First can I please state that Richie McCaw is still ok, and it'll take more than a spear tackle to break his neck. Lochie, time for a new plan!! :)
With the silverware all safetly locked up in the cabinet (again) I feel that I can come back to IIS with a clear head.....
Seriously though it has been a long time between drinks for me imaging. Since my last image in May I have.....
- moved to Auckland
- started a new job
- been on a 6 week tour of Europe
- brought 7 acres of land in rural (read dark) Waiuku :D
- had a pregnancy scare
- brought a WO 80mm Florite Doublet (after the pregnancy scare... :))
- watch the AB's trounce the Aussies in Rugby :)
And now I am finally imaging again, and putting the W) 80mm through it's paces. It's a nice scope. Tiny bit of false colour but not too bad. Quite a bit of coma round the edges when imaging with the big 300D chip. Perhaps a field flatenner might help?
Anyway here are my first off images with the 80mm. Nothing real deep and generally only about 30mins of total exposure. The M8/M20 is a mosaic of 2 and don't look too hard as you can easily pick out the join line....
M27 & OC are both big time crops from the full frame. The c9.25 is probably a better scope for this object. Still an image is an image and with the new rural land in Waiuku, things should only get better.. Except the bank balance!
Cheers
