no jetstream, but falling temps mean jupiter is no longer an option. so spent a nice evening just viewing and tracking down uranus.
thought i would throw the toucam in for a quick image at 208x prime focus in raw colour mode.
may try the 5x powermate, but it may be very hard to find and also the amount of light may be an issue!

Great job mate! You need a long exposure modded toucam to do uranus with a 5X ! he-hee.

Hi David
Nice to see your images back on line. Great capture for the ToUcam. I needed all the power of the ST7 and LPI for my efforts.
Cheers

Careful Dave, Uranus and Neptune can get as addictive as Jupiter ;) They are challenges there is no doubt.

I like the surface detail
I was looking at Uranus and Neptune last night, and I must admit, as far as planets go, they are not exactly high on my list of things that inspire me :(

thanks guys,
i have just sent a question off to the planetary guys around the world re what there is to study with this one. Jupiter is obvious with all the surface detail and saturn has her rings, Mars with loveley details ( I really miss mars), but Uranus may be a greeny / blue blob!
You've done well David.
Good capture mate.
I miss Mars too.
nice dave. yeah you need a long exposure modded toucam to get the scale you are after... oh well :)

Hi David
The image looks great. It is possible to pick up 'detail' if you can call it that. Have you checked out the IOPW PVOL site for Uranus images.

Great to see your Uranus, there does seem to be some colour variation across the surface... this link above of Mike's go and chcek out the Uranus shots, there's some in here that are quite amazing... nothing like Joop or Saturn, but unmistakeable :eyepop:

Hi Dave,
Thats a neat shot, looks similar to what I had observed a few nights before we had to can the observation night due to rain and clouds at my place. I must get a laptop and camera soon!!
Best Regards IanG
