Hi All. just started to build spectroscope again, I tried a white light from an RGB LED with out slit, on to gratin to get a spectrum so I can have a go in RSpec is this OK.

I don't think the calibration is correct.
By convention the blue end of the spectrum is usually on the left hand side of the image.
The blue end should be from about 4000 A and the red end around 6500.

Hi Terry. I thought the red was left, do I have to tern it round and do it again.

Terry is this right. this is don in BASS not Rspec as other was.

That looks better. The wavy top will just be instrument response variability as the LEDs emit a reasonably constant spectrum with no lines.
