I need anyone to answer this because i am asking my parnets for a new telescope for Xmas this year. Anyway what is the best telescope for researching space? With this, i would like a capture of Spacephotography on it and also can input the computer.

You would be better off buying some Binoculars, and a star chart before diving into Astrophotography straight off.

oh gee matt... theres no simple answer to this. mike (iceman) does great images with a 10" dob on an EQ platform. you could get the same and put it on a eq6 i guess and do DSOs... you will need tracking and goto will help you find things better... and a camera and laptop... planetary pics and DSOs oft require diferent cameras too...
but if you are just doing DSOs you might only need a ed80 on a eq5.
good luck. i am sure someone well help ya more

Or... if you want get yourself a Meade or Celestron 8" SCT with computerised GOTO mount.

As suggested Matt, you are best to start with a good pair of bino's until you get more experienced, astro imaging can get very involved indeed.
Also get some books on the subject and have a good read up on the subject before you dive into it.

Research?

That is an entirely different field!!!

Do you mean just astrophotography, or actual research? Clarify what you are asking before we can answer your question.
