Baader mpcc and oag questions again

I have had a quick look at some old threads and wondered if some of the problems arising with this combo were solved- namely the fact that the baader mpcc people advise the back distance to sensor is 55mm so the coma corrector should be attached directly to the dslr etc
But then the thin oag such as Ts Oag-9 adds 9mm plus probable 3.5mm spacer to the mix and is supposed to go between the two?
Anybody solve this issue satisfactorily and can help me out ?
Is the space not that critical? At f4 I would have thought so, so need advice.

My bad ! So sensor distance is approx 44mm and about 55mm with t ring included so the oag 9 with the Eos attachment should work?
Does anyone have this set up can tell me if it is ok and if I would need other adaptor s to say use a Lode Star instead of an ssag ?

I use this combo. i did so much research on it at the time on spacings etc etc etc there wasn't much info out there (in english anyway) - with some people saying 57mm was better. Anyway, i can't remember exactly how i did it but i removed the t2 thread from the MPCC (i'm not sure if this is meant to come off) and the MPCC body can screw straight into the TSOAG9. I thought i posted somewhere about this on here (so i didn't have to remember!).

it is close to full crop, i would suggest the spacing isn't 100% but its close enough that a small crop usually will take care of it. i use the eos "0mm" t2 bayonet from memory (the m48 wasn't around at the time - but i don't know if that would work with the TSOAG9 i have a feeling it was going to be easier to connect but it was quite some time ago...).

But mine does work EOS 0mm bayonet (t2), TSOAG9, MPCC.

I know this is a bit rambly but i remember i was super confused at the time! so definitely no better now!!

ps i think you need to buy an additional part for the lodestar (i use a lodestar - i'll try and find my receipt from TS for you).

hi Graham,

is it the Mark 2 or 3 mpcc?
the mark 3 has a removable T2 ring making it M48 which is a much wider opening and reduces vignetting in an F4 by a small extent.
The canon plus TS9OAG with the EOS bayonet and MPCC other end works well, round stars at all corners.
you won't need a spacer.
