Hi everyone,
Well the jetstream was almost gone last night, but Jupiter was still in and out of focus, but was not altering in diameter like I have had for 6 weeks. Filled up the laptop with 16 avis, by the time I ran them through VD, so will be busy today running them through Registax so the avis can be deleted to free up some space.
Will be trying again tonight, with less image scale to see if that will help.

Nice one, been ages since we've had a joop here. Look forward to seeing further results from the session.

Hi Mike,
thanks. I was a bit dissapionted with the results after seeing the image on the laptop was so steady; as far as not altering in diameter.

Hi Lester, nice shot. Yes the conditions were very dissapointing; I got 1/2 dozen AVI's myself & even made my first small Gif animation, but ended up deleting all record of august 28th :(
I got badly onion-ringed on all AVI's. I notice your shot has one onion hiding in amongst the shadow on the limb...bloody onions!:mad2:
Well done mate:thumbsup:
well 10 points for persistance lestery. :)
it has plenty of detail, just looks a bit funny :)

Hi Asi and Ving,
yep the onions were thicker than the mosquitos. Still processing mine, to clear up some room on the laptop for tonight.
Here is another.

Hi Lester
you've got a lot of detail in those cloud belts! Very good for the conditions. I had a go too, but despite the absence of the Jetstream, the local seeing was poor and jupiter got lower and lower as the telescope cooled. Did you manage to catch the double shadow transit and 2 moons off the limb a little after 9.00?

Hi Graeme,
No unfortunately the seeing got worse as the night went on, and also by 7:30 the laptop was full of avis with no more room.
