Hi guys, I'm trying to mount a Tak TOA 150 to my Losmandy mount. Problem is the tube ring bolts are about 100mm apart, wider than the Losmandy plate itself. I have scrounged together some bits and pieces, one being a 120mm wide aluminium plate 10mm thick. I have bolted everything together. It works, but it's not real great, and I don't trust it 100% :P

Id hate for something to give! Did a bit of a search online, but can't find exactly what I'm after.

If you see in the dodgy picture, I have had to raise it by about 12mm, so those bolts clear the mount.

Does anyone know if there is anything out there which might suit?

The Robin Casady plate for the Mewlon 250/TOA150 would be the best out there. Robin has retired but there were still some of the large Tak plate left. Not cheap though but the quality is exceptional. I have the Casady saddle and EM plates, they are the best I have seen.

OPT does sell the BT Tech Large Takahashi Dovetail Plate which accommodates the Takahashi Tube Rings. I have used both the Casady and BT dovetail plates and I found the BT to be the best.

Either of these plate are top notch and far better than the ADM plates. I have all three types and the difference is notable.

While not cheap they are worth the money IMO
