Bought a D5300 last weekend to supplement the D7000 I've been using for a few years.
Figured without the OLPF and slightly better noise performance, and being lighter, it would be a good fit.
Turns out I was right :)

Didn't nail my tracking and the LP was a factor, so I limited subs to 30secs at ISO4000.
Obviously its a bit noisy, but I'm pretty happy with it.

Remarkably free of CA for an ED80. Looks like the camera does a very good job indeed.

I was quite particular with focus to avoid CA, as it was there a fraction either side, which was a pain as the focusser is single speed and not that great to be honest.
