I was sick over the weekend so caught up with 6.5 episodes of the eight part series British Crime drama Broadchurch with David Tenant.
I highly recommend it for thoughtful, absorbing and beautifully filmed crime drama.
It is about the effect the murder has on the whole Community, not just the family, and how lives are torn apart by the media as well as by assumptions. Following the investigation closely, it also embroils you in a close up of the communities lives as they come apart then come together... I'm no Margaret and David but I give it 4/5 stars.
I heard on NPR radio that they are filming the plot exactly in the U.S called Gracepoint... with David Tenant reprising the same role but with a different accent.
Give it a go, if not just for the beautiful Wessex coastal scenery.
I got it on iTunes but I am sure it was on maybe ABC earlier (or SBS?)
