Small Magellanic Cloud & 47Tuc & NGC362 in B&W=(L+O3+Ha)

This is 47Tuc & SMC & NGC362 trough Canon 70-200mm F4 lens and STT-8300m.
It’s about 7h of L+O3+Ha added in PixelMath.
Colour version should be ready soon ... I hope …

Plenty of nice detail there especially in the globular clusters. Colour version should be a real hit.

Very cool, Ian! Look forward to the colour version.

Another way to create a synthetic/super luminance is to use ImageIntegration without a rejection algorithm. The benefit of ImageIntegration is that it will weight the contribution of each "sub" by estimated SNR.

Rick.

Well, in PixInsight it’s not that bad, you can use ChannelCombination+NB_Script or just PixelMath. It’s just the matter of choosing the right balance that pleases eyes. :)

Is it not the same as adding up all channels in PixelMath with identical weights (1/3 in this case)?
1/3*L + 1/3*Ha + 1/3*O3

Awesome image Ian. What a clever setup. Its working great.
The Canon 70-200 L F4, is that the non IS version of the lens?

I have that lens and its a beauty. Perhaps I should use it as well.

Greg.
