A poignant reminder – today’s special website banner commemorating Remembrance Day.

In remembrance of those have served and those who continue to serve, in wars and armed conflict both past and present, for those men and women that did not return home, thank you for your service and your sacrifice, for safeguarding our freedom and preserving the way of life we enjoy today.

For the families, friends and loved ones left behind, I am grieved by the heavy price they paid through their service.

Lest we forget.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

My workplace did a minutes silence . Everyone went quiet, even those on the phone. It was good to see and hear the silence.

Lest we forget

We were just walking out of the SAN (Sydney Adventist Hospital) at 11am when the minute silence notification came over the PA.
