By much loved Meade 16" Lightbridge is up for sale .... not enough room to keep it
Recent model with black truss tubes in excellent condition.
Sale includes Scope, Argo Navis and 10K encoders, homemade Stalk, Astrozap Shroud, Astrozap Dust Cover for open end of scope, HitecAstro Dew Controller, Thousand Oaks DN003 2” Eyepiece Dew Strap, Kendrick Secondary Dew Heater, Kendrick Red Dot Finder Heater, Power Board with 18Ah Battery and Meade QX 26mm eyepiece. Also fitted with Bobs Knobs to Primary and Secondary as well as Bob’s stiffer primary springs.
Scope has been fitted with homemade spacers on the azimuth bearing to improve stiction.
In the attempt at total transparency, the primary mirror has some very minor marks where a snug or snail crawled across the surface, but this hardly noticeable and has zero impact on performance.
This scope provides beautiful views of the night skies and I’m only selling it as I simply don't have enough room to keep all of my gear. I’ve only had the scope for about 9 months and I believe I’m the 3rd IIS owner. Truly is a great package, very easy to use and eyepiece is only at 68” at Zenith.
Here’s your chance to get a complete big light bucket scope all sorted and ready for immediate use to explore the night skies, and reveal lots of those faint fuzzies.
Replacement cost with all the extra additions would be about $3,800, but priced here at $2,500 for the complete package, ready to go!!! Inspection welcome.
Pick up only from Greenvale Vic, as I have no shipping boxes.
