It turned cold. We hardly had any during Winter and now come November and I wake up to this view.

It's Tasmania Trevor, we learn to expect the unexpected. I can remember snow on Ben Lomond on a Christmas day in my teens...

4 days ago, from about 0330 to 0730, we had HEAVY fog that reduced visibility to about 25 metres. The temperature was 24°.
We seem to get this weird fog every couple of years here, and always in mid-spring. The ocean is a mere 1km away, and we are right on the river. Real pea souper - humidity and lack of wind was JUST right.

It may be shaping up to be an old fashioned Tassie Xmas Phil.
I really like fogs Lewis, as long as I don't have to drive anywhere. I used to enjoy walking the paddocks in the fog when I lived in NSW.
The weather feature I want to see it the 'Morning Glory' in the far north.

Hi Rowland. It's your namesake, only they mis-spelled it Mount Roland (at Sheffield) :-)

Blame Tony. Climate change is all his fault
