cleaning mounts

hi guys. I had my losmandy g11 mount for about 5 yrs now and its never been taken part. I took it out west to nyngan a few weeks ago and it still performs well. How often are you suppose to clean the mounts? What grease do you use?

I re-grease my ME mount about once a year. Usually on a hot summer day with Lubriplate 105.
