Like a lot of others I was very disappointed when MS discontinued FS.

Any idea what a good one is these days at the consumer end?

IMHO FSX is still one of the best simulator platforms around. Very well supported and hundreds of Add-ons.

Wow, I just found that my login to flightsim.com still works. I haven't been there for about ten years!

With todays processors, graphics cards, and big wide monitors, simming must be awesome compared to the past.
