Celestron Astromaster 130EQ telescope, 650mm f/5 Newtonian reflector. I am reluctantly selling this, having recently upgraded to an astrophotography setup, and so three telescopes is sadly too much! It's a great travel scope - it has lived on two continents and been to a few remote locations. It would make an excellent starter telescope for someone relatively new to the hobbly. Very respectable views of star clusters and other bright deep sky objects, and nice wide views. [You can also try imaging the Sun (I took the image below on 25th October with this scope); filter sold, price modified accordingly], Moon and even Jupiter & Saturn with it if you have the right camera fittings and want a challenge!

* Includes telescope and mount with slow motion controls, all, including mirrors, in good condition.

* Includes Bintel 6x30mm finderscope attached to telescope tube, much better than the built-in red dot finder.

* Includes Bintel 20mm and 12mm Plossl eyepieces, much better than the junk eyepieces originally shipped with the scope.

- Includes a full aperture solar filter for safe Sun viewing, with original packaging and clean, purchased from Bintel last year for $149. [SOLD]

Total value of all items new is $450, asking $220 or best offer. Can deliver in Sydney area or pick-up only.

* (scientist wife not included :))

Hi,
I am a newbie to this forum.A friend of mine has recommended the telescope for my son. Can you parcel the instrument to Tasmania?
