Nice quickie Ray. It took 6 hours for me to get that level of detail with my refractor.

Nice one raymo, I like that a lot  surprising amount of brightness and detail for only about 20 mins exposure time.

Looks good, raymo! Fixing the vignetting would improve it a little.

Thanks Kev, Dunk, Rick; it was all I could get, as, for some unknown
reason I was unable to get longer subs without trailing. If the high cloud disappears I'll try again tonight.
Yes, there are times when aperture is advantageous Kevin.
Now I have the latest PS and a book on the subject, maybe I'll be able to reduce/ remove vignetting eventually,
without resorting to cropping it out.

Nice one Raymo, good detail for such short subs mate.

Excellent details Raymo! How dark are your skies? I can't imagine getting anywhere near that level of detail from the edge of the city here, especially with the short subs. Good work

Thanks Rex and andyc; I've never done a definitive test of the sky here,
but I live on the edge of town [ pop. around 11,000], and do almost all of my imaging with the town behind me. I estimate around mag. 5. Nearby
street lights don't help.

Great image Raymo. I can make out a few faint galaxies throughout the frame too which is always a big plus!

Thanks Nathan; I got a lot more subs last night. Maybe they will
improve the end result.

Nice quicky Raymo. I'm a bit envious of even the mag 5 skies sadly. Hoping to put my newly acquired 6" Newt through its paces soon and join the ranks of Newt imagers. :)

Thanks Cam, but I wouldn't be in too much of a hurry to envy me. This is the second worst area in Oz for imaging, [west coast of Tassie is the worst]. I am lucky to get 30 -35 nights per year.
I have added a better image here. http://www.astrobin.com/132497/
