Hi All,
just trying a new scope, was reasonably happy. Looks like it will work as I hoped.

Yep, that's the beauty of beggar all image scale, they all look good. 800mm focal length has its advantages after all.

Very nice threesome. Razor sharp and nicely guided and focused. Isn't Omega just gorgeous?
Cheers

Without starting the debarkle about which is best (Omega/47 Tuc) it is my favourite. I got lucky with this shot, not all of them come out like this, believe me.

I did a deal on a Tak, an older one, an FC100. Notwithstanding my Zeiss ED80/840, (an ED lens) it is my first foray in Apoland. I love it, it sits better on the GEM, and even with the guidescope on top it is lighter etc than the 10" newt. OK, at f8 it is a bit slower, but the results so far have been encouraging.
