As I left the house yesterday morning the skies in the outer suburbs of Melbourne were covered by a blanket of fog. As I turned east bound I caught a glimpse of the sun thru the corner of my eye and was amazed to see how predominant the sunspots appeared. I wanted to turn back to get some images but was going to be late for an appointment.
Anyway, the skies cleared and I managed to take a number of shots very late afternoon with my Canon DSLR attached to my Orion ED80T mounted on a camera tripod. The image isn't flash as there was a lot of shake in the kit when trying to focus but I wanted to share this to show the magnitude of the sunspot activity at present :)
