Did anyone see the very bright, at a guess mag -8 light that lingered in the sky between M6 and Mars, approximatly half between both.
I would say it was at it's brightest for about 4-5 seconds then faded to about the brightness of Mars, I rushed to get my Bino's which took all of 20 seconds but by the time I got back to my observing possition it had faded completely.
I looked in the place where it was in the binos and could see a faint cloud ,but being deep in the milkyway that could have been some of that.
Time was 21:20 =9:20pm and about 15° altitude.
I thought it was a plane at first but saw none in the vacinity in the bino's
This is not a question(What is it) it is did anyone else see it. ?
