I just could not miss the opportunity to capture this beast. I got out this morning and captured a solar image for the first time since October last year. Seems like forever. I was a bit rusty but the reward was to be had. Average seeing but still fun.

Very nice details in that one Paul. I really need to get back outside and put the Ha Scope up. I have been focussing on the monster in W/L, which is providing unusually photogenic views.

I was going to use my TSA102 and the lunt wedge for the first time on white light but will give that a go tomorrow when it is clearer.

Nice going Paul - hopefully the weather improves here in Melbourne for a go at this in the coming days before it rotates out of view.

That's up close and personal, very nice. I grabbed it in white light last night between the hazy clouds, the seeing was terrible. Look forward to your shots from tomorrow.

Nice Paul. They've been mentioning AR12192 often on the Griffith Obs PSE webcast.
