This was quite a fun target, as it is close enough to start to resolve some of the nebulous regions and star clusters. I'm having some issues with streakiness in the images, which may be the T-shirt flats, or a combination of no darks/polar alignment (though I'd have thought the tracking would deal with that). But I need to try doing some darks to see if that helps.
I was still happy with some of the details in the image, even if it's not yet as lovely and smooth as I'd like!
I've also attached a comparison between Greg Bock's image of the supernova impostor from 6th October- I think I'd have caught it, but missed it by a couple of weeks and it's faded below 18th mag (http://www.pbase.com/andycasely/image/157914053/original).
A larger version of the image is here (http://www.pbase.com/andycasely/image/157914052/original).
7 x 5-minute subs, ISO640, 750mm Newtonian, EOS 60D, stacked in DSS, processed in Photoshop.
