Interesting - this is a different way of making a segmented fused like/type mirror - machine the blank.

Looking at the images suggests that this is done on the blank and then the blank is ground to perfection as per normal.

Orion UK provide inferometric results on their premium mirrors, especially the ODK mirrors/scopes so obviously must work.

Cool, I've always wondered if this would work and have even considered trying it on my 16" blank.
I've seen images of professional mirrors being machined but it's good to see it can be done at amateur level!
