I've been fighting with my new Meade LXD75 for some time now. I can get it to align with Two Star alignment but when aligned it is then seriously off line when it then moves to another object. It resolutely refuses to be aligned with Easy Align.
I've tried training the drive with no joy.
Any tips?

Give up and learn to polar align by drift method.. even if the thing works it cant hurt to learn this aspect of the game.

Welcome to IIS, pvelez. I think there's a few LXD75 owners here who might be able to help you.
Where abouts in Sydney are you?

Hi Pvelez,
Sorry to ask stupid questions first, but here goes...
first, how accurate is your polar alignment? This will be the biggest contributing factor to your pointing accuracy.
second, out of the box, the published pointing accuracy of the LXD75 mount is 15 arc minutes. The moon is 30 arc minutes in diameter. Some retailers offer a modification that improves pointing accuracy to 10 arc minutes.
third, your mount will get smarter the more you use it.
Clear skies,
Shane
