Thanks to everyone who helped diagnose my fringing issues, I've mostly corrected that now. I'm still getting diagonal stars but I think that's mostly due to being undersampled now.
This is NGC 253, obviously, but only RGB data, no luminance yet. Once I get some luminance I should be able to smooth this out add more detail.

Yes, lovely! How long were the exposures for this one? Might try it tonight, if not too warm

Thanks everyone! :-)
These are only 90s exposures as I was more doing it to see if my changes had ironed out problems I'd been experiencing. Taken with a F7.5 600mm refractor and an Atik 314L, so a slow scope but it's undersampled so that offsets it to some extent.
Maybe these 90s subs are enough for the RGB, I dunno. I'll probably try 300s for luminance initially.
Good luck with your attempt, I look forward to seeing it :)

Hey Lee, what cam do you use? Mono obviously, controls noise well.
My imaging session went great last night, processing my image right now, but noisy as heck with the DSLR..

Just saw that; you did a really good job of processing out that noise in the end. I don't think I would have done as good a job!
Thanks Rex :-)
