I am using a 50mm guide scope with the CD camera attached to the guide scope. I am using the PHD 2 guide program. My telescope is the 6" Celestron Starbright XLT. All works except I am unable to take pictures and save. Will the PHD 2 guide program allow taking shots and saving them? I can't use the Orion Camera Studio program to take shots, it doesn't work while guiding. Anyone out there that can help me?

Not sure I understand your set up...what's a CD camera?
PHD2 (Files/save image) can save a copy of the guide image....
Do you have another imaging camera on the Celestron???

I'm guessing you have your CCD camera attached to your guidescope and wanting to capture images whilst guiding... I believe that would only be possible if it is a self guiding ccd camera.

CD camera is a computer chip. I am using the Orion CG3 color camera. It can also be used to guide my 6" celestron XLT It is mounted on my Orion mini 50mm guide scope. When I go to file/save image on the PHD 2 program there is no prompt as to where the image is being saved in the computer. I haven't found an image in my computer to date. Nehemiah

Paul,
Under PHD 2.2, when you "save image" I get the usual folder options...
See the screen shot.
