Hi Guys, I have been here a while, and sold some stuff, etc.
I have a gut full of the people that don't us any manners in advertising their stuff.
There is no, please contact me, there is nothing, there is only, I have this to sell, xxxx contact me.

You are a rude part of this community.

Leon:thumbsup:

The use of 'Please' and 'Thankyou' is becoming vary rare. I have had various rude responses to gear I have had for sale on IIS...like 'Give ya XX bucks for it' and this was someone whom apparently worked in the legal profession. It is the way society is going these days and if you dare bring someone up on their manners you usually cop a mouthful of profanity.

Well, we know that Leon's nice. He must be, because he seems to agree with me about things from time to time. Seriously though, you are both
absolutely right.

I have a jaundiced eye when it comes to Internet politeness.
I would really love it if we all used the English used in Jane Austen literature.
It is however, I suspect, not a likely outcome.
Although I have found that this site is not as low on the ladder of civility as many other fora I have visited.

I always try to be to the point when wanting to buy or sell here .

There is always a few of us , who can jump into a sellers post and just, waffle on when not needed,so isn't being brief a good thing at times ?

I'm not really bothered about " hi ","thanks", "bye" "sorry" etc being used in communication what really gets my manly hood in a twist is when ppl have current ads up and don't respond to any of your attempts to communicate. I just can't figure that one out.

Hi Leon,
Some time ago Robert Doyle the Lord Mayor of Melbourne suggested that people should show more regard for others in public and while there was support, the ignorance of the many saw his efforts swept to one side.
His concerns were pedestrians failing to keep left, smoking on the street, spitting and littering.

What sort of world do some really wish to live in?
Best to Alice and yourself.
Greg.

Dear Leon,

I must admit I don't get too stressed about manner or lack thereof in advertisements. If the item is what I want, pics are clear and the price is right, I am happy.

But I would sincerely like to thank you, the OP, for bringing this to our attention and do wish to apologise for all or any of my adverts that have been lacking in politeness.

Please feel free to PM me if you have any enquiries in relation to the above.

Clear skies and mosquito free nights,
Kind regards,
Matt

P.S. Please read the above with the good humour with which it was written. ;)

My apologies if I seem to wandered from topic, but the sad reality is that people disregard general courtesies because they are conditioned into believing that they do not have the time, I am fed up with holding doors for people who do not acknowledge same and quite often find myself thanking them.
There is not excuse for poor manners, they cost b***er all!
Greg.
